David Sheaffer
I was inspired to enter this industry because money is the engine that makes the world work, and I firmly believe finance is a beautiful marriage between economics, art and science. My true passion lies in witnessing clients achieve their major life goals. I love helping clients make wise financial decisions with their money so they can feel confident about living an abundant life.
Before my current role, I spent time working as a global asset manager. I collaborated with thousands of advisors, which gave me experience with asset managers, investment vehicles and model portfolios. I graduated from Southern Methodist University and passed the Series 65 securities exam.
I was born in Indiana, grew up in Minnesota, attended school in Texas and started my career in Boston before finally settling in Charleston. I come from a unique family background, with my mom being from Louisiana and my dad coming from Iowa. I share my home with my wife, Jacqueline, and our son, Walter. Outside the office, I love cheering on Minnesota sports teams and SMU. You can also find me spending time on boats, appreciating art and exploring dive bars and new restaurants around town.
